...Dealers will just throw in more parts, it's not thier wallet
Yes it is
Because they know I will only pay for a part, if it actually solves the problem.
That's the deal.
I know Varsity Ford. Not everything they have listed on their website is actually still available. Their website is run by a third party and apparently they are not always up to date if it comes to discontinued parts.
I'll see what my dealership has to say on Monday. If Varsity can deliver, they'll find it through the national parts locator anyway. And if they can't find anything at a reasonable price, I'll have my old PCM tested and if necessary repaired at the place Treker58 has mentioned.

Well if you have heard of Varsity Ford thats good, I haven't. Means that they are a real company. Can't be sure about the Internet anymore, unless your the girl that found the french male model to date, cause everything on the net is true and real

Yes, my company has ordered parts from Varsity Ford on several occasions. They're ok, but you might get the same deal from your local dealership - especially if you calculate the shipping fees into the price.
True, the internet is a playground for all sorts of creeps.

Your right there, Varsity get 107.00 to ship that PCM if they really do have it
The outcome was that no PCM, coil, spark plug, or similar had ever been the problem.
In fact it was just a bad connector (from wiring harness to the coil).
The part was around $25... (+ 1 hour labor for diagnosis and replacing)
Ford of Orange found it. Worthington Ford did not...
(But: Ford of Orange recently wanted to sell me a new transmission for my P71 which wasn't shifting ok. I didn't think it was the tranny, took it to Worthington and voilà: It was just a sensor...)

But my wife's Crown Vic (civilian P73) is for fun.
This was the private car of a cop from Rancho Cucamonga. He said he had a couple of mods done to it, but didn't really want to elaborate about any details when we bought it.
I haven't figured out yet what exactly. She's got a CA-legal ram-air intake. That's all I can see. The suspension is slightly modified, with PU sway-bar links and slightly better shocks (still ridiculous compared to the P71, though).
Fact is: this baby flies.
I've been driving many high powered cars, like Turbo- and V8 Audis, Corvette's, Porsches, etc. - all nice and lots of fun. But the Crown Vic is just awesome.
It spins the wheels all the way into second gear - on dry asphalt. Just sick!
Since my wife is driving the P73 the wheels are going to survive for another 20k+ miles
Up until now you've spent an awful lot of money through shotgun troubleshooting. Rather than any real diagnosis you threw the parts store at the problem....
The P0360 means that it's detecting a fault for the coil driver on cylinder 10. Lots of things can cause this, and see below for the factory troubleshooting steps for this. Note that checking for a bad COP is the LAST step here.
Hi Tom,
Thank you so much for posting this. I am diagnosing a P0351 code. I am following the flow chart.
