My '96 F150 needs a new radiator. I don't like the plastic tank/aluminum core style. They don't last like the old brass/copper ones did. My question is can I use a brass/copper one from the early eighties? I really don't mind changing the whole front end to achieve this either... I don't really like the look of the '92-'96 trucks. The '80 to '86 look a whole lot nicer IMO. So before I I'd like to know what I can use in the stock form (cheapest possible route).

 

What about one of those 100% aluminum guys you see all over ebay? A bunch of the IDI guys (myself included) run Champion radiators with good results. Cheap, too.

the 83 and up nose will bolt on. you will have to use everything though.
and you may have to fabricate bumper mounts, but it is not a big deal.
we put a 94 nose on a 86 truck years ago
