Flipping I-Beams?????

Flipping I-Beams?????
I was at Pic n Pull today looking for disc brakes to convert my 69 F250 front drums. I just happen to look under a couple of 1986 trucks and noticed that the spindle end of the I-beam dipped down just before the spindle. Essentially the same as if I were to flip my I-beams over to lift the front of my truck. Has anyone ever done or seen this done as a method of lifting the front of an older truck?
