Just curious if anyone has one of these lying around that they aren't planning on using. The tabs for the snaps broke off mine and I need a new one. With most people around here doing the 6637 filters, etc, I figured there might a few extra left over. If ya got one just let me know what ya want for it.
Several years ago I replaced my stock intake with a K & N intake. I've been kicking around the stock air box since. In the past few months I've thought about getting rid of the thing. If you want it and are willing to pay shipping to your location it's yours.
PM me with if you wish to discuss it further and I'd be glad to pay it forward.
Wow, thank you for all the replies. Are there any differences in the years or they the same? Also might be a stretch, but do any of you also have the battery tray portion? I am willing to buy it but I noticed a crack in mine today while looking it over.
Bly8397: Without joking, if you have $200 to spend, seriously consider a Ford AIS retrofit. Far superior air flow and filtration, and yet, it is still fully enclosed like the stock air box. Filter replacement is expensive ($50), but only once every 50,000-75,000 miles. In the long run, it's cheaper than buying crappy OEM filters, and you definitely don't want to be using a K&N box filter. Of course, for $65 or so you could build your own 6637, but it sounds like you don't want to do that.

Just a suggestion.
Thanks. After hearing from a few others on here I think I'm just going to grab a 6637 kit and try that out. Thank you all for being so helpful. This willingness of this community is a rare thing.
I just put my stock box back on after running the 6637 for about five years. Definitely didn't realize how noisy the 6637 was. I will be running stock box with a 3" pleat filter, until I finish the current mods, then look at an AIS for the future. Not that I didn't like the 6637, I am just looking to quiet the truck down some. Better to be able to hear in the cab driving.

Funny how we come full circle sometimes.
I just did this before a long trip pulling the 5th wheel to Florida and the noise difference was significant. I will be running the stock box until I can drum up the money for an AIS (which will be after I drum up the money for a full exhaust so it may be a while).
This is the best price out there right now...and where I got mine. I have bought a LOT of stuff from Bob and Clay, but they simply don't have the best price sometimes.
