Coolant problem
How can I tell if my intake manifold vs heads on my 92 F150 5.0 are leaking coolant?I alreddy posted some info under the cooling area so would appreciate any advice. Good equal compression all cylinders, all plugs are the same, no steam out of plug holes, no mositure on swab in plug hole. Get some sweet smelling white smoke 30 seconds after cranking. Goes awag in 3 minutes, uses 6 ounces coolant in 40 miles after sitting over night.

Checked every thing. No leaks at throttle body. All points to an internal leak. Same thing on my 93 Aerostar. I went thru a similar situation on A Bronco II I bought with bad heads & rebuilt it my self. No overheating, just internal coolant loss. So traded both in on another vehicle as we need a vehicle soon for some cross country family trips. Put up some 92 Ford F150-350, E series & Bronco, factory repair manuals for sale in this site classified. Also have 2 cans of new large red spray paint & dealer sales folder for 92 Ford truck line .

Coolant problem
I would start it up cold and let it run 5 seconds turn it off , pull the plugs looking for moisture and swab test. If you let it run to long it'll have enough heat to steam off the moisture. But let it run so it sucks some cold coolant in. Seeing as it does stop after warmup it might be worth your while to retorque the heads and intake.
