Long and short of it, was years ago I had a Ford Probe with a Mazda KLZE swap. Long and short of it was at the time I remember reading a post on either here or a similar Ford site about where guys would use the 2.5L V6 (SVT Contour used the same engine) and swap them into 3.0 rangers.
What my memory recalls in that the guys also had to swap around the intake manifold so it faced forward in the truck and most everyone wanted the composite intake from a SVT Contour compared to the multi/variable plenum setup of the Mazda configuration.
Does anyone have any info on this? I am asking cause my truck is a 3.0 and its racking up the miles, and if it ever goes bad I wanna swap in a KL-ZE, for the fact of more sportier power (In a sporty EDGE) plus it would be different.
