Powerstroke or not
I think somebody slapped those badges on the fender, thats all. Look at the 2002 you have, the two engines should be entirely different. The PSD (Power Stroke Diesel) should say Direct Injection on top.
The motor in that 92 is an IDI, In-Direct Injection, it uses a mechanical injection pump to supply the fuel to a pre-combustion chamber. The PSD uses the HEUI System, Hydraulic Electronic Unit Injector, to fire the fuel directly into the cylinder. The PSD is computer controlled, the IDI isn't.
Ford used the 6.9L IDI from 83(I think) until 87, then used the 7.3L IDI from 88 til 94.5, then began using the PSD from 94.5 till 2002. For 2003 They have a new 6.0 PSD which is even stronger than the 7.3 PSD. From 93.5 till 94.5, the IDI came with a factory turbo.
Not too sure on the torque output for the 92, so I'll leave that to someone else, but I think it's around the 400 ft/lb range.
