I'm pretty sure the one you're holding in the pic is the unused trans plug.

U fellas know right off hand what it takes to get the relay setup off the side of the fuse box. Just so I don't go in there with a bucket of tools and still not have the right one.

Me either, I've never messed with the vans. But if you have access to one, it would be worth checking.

I ended up gettin one off of an f250 gasser. Some of the ones I saw had a place for 4 relays. The one I grabbed has 2 relays with matching part numbers that bill mentioned. But the box w/pigtail was one number off. Instead of f6tb it was f4tb or f7tb. I will verify in the morning. I plugged it in and I get the aux power but haven't Ben bl to check the reverse.

I noticed one of the plugs on the pigtail only had 3 wires and the plug on the truck has 4. I sure hope i dont need that other Wire to get the trailer Reverse lights to work. I would imagine i could add a wire if needed but ive never done it. It's the power supply side of the relays. I will get some pics and the part number tomorrow of the one I got.

Oh yeah and them things are a PITA if u don't have a 5mm socket to remove the 2 bolts. I think I jinxed myself by what I stated earlier. Lol

I checked all my other parts trucks last night when I went out and looked for the part #s, and that truck was the only one that had it.

The aux or battery charge should be hot all the time when the truck is started. Correct. I got to figure out why it only came hot when the lights to the truck got turned on. Hmmm sounds like some wiring mixup is goin on. DANG IT!!!

If you don't already have it ...

1996 Bronco/F-Series Workshop Manual

Go to section 18 - Lighting then to Trailer Electrical Schematic. Has the diagram and pin outs on the relays and trailer connector.

Almost got all the wiring in on the trailer. The harness I got at the JY even though its a different part number it still works. I got power at the plug for reverse lights when the truck is running. Thanks for all of your help and advise. I will post up some pics of the trailer reverse lights and my truck reverse lights. Tis the season for lights. Lol

Good job! I think ALL trailers should have back up lights. It's a pain tying to back a long trailer in the dark.
