idi no start

idi no start

the truck ran fine last night did a little mudding shut it off and it started back up go out this mornig and it wont start batteries are fine when the ign is off i have power to the cigarett lighter but as soon as i turn it to the on position no power what so ever

Bad connection at the battery or on the other ends of the cables?

Otherwise the batterys may not have enough charge.. headlights bright?

Probably a bad connection at a battery terminal, engine ground, or most likely at the starter solenoid. If you don't have a voltmeter or test light start with cleaning them.

it decided to start today after doing nothing to it

I'd go ahead and clean the connections I mentioned above. You know it will do it again at the worst possible time. You might also want to carry a voltmeter or test light with you in case it does it again.

Check the connections at the battery, if it goes dead like that it's usually a poor connection there. It'll run the lights and lighter socket since they're low power but when you start trying to pull hundreds of amps...
