1973/79 F100/350: FIFTEEN different types of outside mirrors were available. Which type does your truck have?

Type 9: There are three versions. One has no visable mirror head gasket (D8TZ-17682-A).
Another has flat upper and lower mounting brackets (D4TZ-17696-A). And still another has curved upper and lower mounting brackets (D6TZ-17696-A).
No one has any of D4TZ-17696-A or D8TZ-17682-A / There are a few of D6TZ-17696-A available NOS
Note: The mirror heads for D4TZ-17696-A and D6TZ-17696-A are replaceable and are the same (D4TZ-17723-A). A few of these heads are available NOS

Type 5 (D3TZ-17696-K) was standard equipment (left only), and has been reproduced. Some of the repro parts sellers are calling this the "Sport" mirror, but FoMoCo never called it that.
No mirrors were factory installed, the dealers installed all the outside mirrors. Most people didn't want D3TZ-17696-K as its rearward vision was limited.
Its right hand companion mirror is D3TZ-17696-L ~ 6 are available NOS
