8k and blowing through tires!
I have about 8k on the truck and decided it was a good time to rotate tires. usually do it around 7k but i was too busy this past month.
NOT GOOD went to rotate the tires and the fronts both passneger and driver are wayyyy choppy. not to happy. I am afraid if i take it to get looked at the will adjust the toe and i will be in the same boat as my old 7.3's with the infamous steering wander. i am going to bring it back to the dealership to voice my concern but i was looking to see if anyone else had this problem.
also if anyone goes to look could you count your rear leaf springs for me. I have a F250 and have 3 total rear leaf springs including helper?

Yep, two leafs and the helper on the F250.
That's why these sag so much.
My conti's only made it to the low 30k.
They wore on the outside edges even though I kept the PSI high which you would think would have wore the centers.
Couldn't explain that one.
I don't think my Nitto Terra's are going to make it much past that either by the way things are going.
These are heavy trucks. If you tow, these eat tires.

I got 16k or so on mine (Michilin AT2 18") About 6k of heavy towing (12-13k depending on trailer). Wearing smoothly and I've only done one rotate; should get fourty or so out of them at this rate. I would have a quick alignment check done. The older Super Dutys wander was more from plain old sloppy steering gear. If stability suffers you can always add a bit more toe in.

my truck eats tires for breakfast, I have 24k on a set of BFG AT KO's and they are pretty much toast. this particular model of tire I have ran for years on dodges and would get 35k ish out of them doing the exact same things I am doing with my ford. The stock tires were toast at 23k miles. one issue I do know is the obscene tire pressures you must run, my BFG's are worn in the middle indicating over inflation but still even if the wear was even the tires are toast. what is that 33% more tire wear?? thats substantial.

I have 40,000 miles on factory 18 inch Cont's . I have rotated them around every 8,000 to 10,000 miles. They still have a fair amount of rubber left (at least 10,000 miles) . I tow a horse trailer and a 5th wheel RV often and the only complaint with the tires is that even when new their traction was not good. I run them empty rears at 60 pounds and front 64. My TPS system is Ok with those pressures.

The first set of Michelins were gone at 30,000, The second set had more freeway miles and made it 40,000. I'm now on the 3rd set.
The Michelins have a 60,000 mile tread wear warranty, So wear them out and get the next set Pro-Rated.
This is my 4th Superduty truck in the past 12 years. I've run the OEM Firestone, Conti, and Michelin tires. I've replaced them with Cooper, Goodyear and Toyo tires. The only tire that has lasted longer than 30,000 was the Firestones and my 2nd set of Michelins. I've come to expect with the type of driving I do, these tires will be changed out every 30,000 miles. These are just heavy trucks, with lots of torque working hard.
