c-4 trans filter change help
Hello all I am in desperate need of help. I am putting on a new filter in my old c-4 1974 bronco. I didn't know that there would be a spring and stopper fall out. I know where it goes but nut in what order, Does the spring go in first then the stopper and the filter holds it in or the other way around? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I have looked all over the internet with different searches and can only find two references to the spring and plunger under the filter. This is to control shifts. One of the articles not as a sidebar that he noticed the spring in his catch can and put it in spring first then the plnger then the filter. He said his shifts felt different. No other info was given. I would rather do it right the first time. I hope someone can help out. Thanks.
