That is what is left of the cage bearing in the rh manual lockout. Lh lockout was in good shape, I cleaned it out, regreased it, and reinstalled it. Then, I removed the rh side.

Is there a reason Ford uses a plastic cage for a lockout on a one ton truck? Dang blasted cost savings I assume. Good thing the local dealer is open tomorrow..

Your profile let me to believe pre 2005. I was going to suggest going aftermarket hubs.

If I recall you can't go aftermarket 2005 and up?

Correct, dealer or Stealbay are my only options. But, since the local dealership buys used parts from me, I tend to get a fairly decent price most times

I remember Dynatrak has some for 2005 and up but it involves a bit of work unlike swapping out the older hubs. The work part doesn't get me, its just the high price they are going for.
