Vibration

Im getting a weird vibration at higher RPM's. It only does it on heavy acceleration, and it is dependent on RPM's, not speed. Does it in all gears too. If im going down the road at 70 accelerating it will vibrate like crazy, but if i push the clutch in it rides smooth as glass. If i let off the skinny pedal it will dissipate, which in my mind rules out driveline and ujoint issues, as well as out of balance tires.

Could it be clutch/flywheel related? I know my clutch is nearing its last days as it slips a little under load and when pulling weight up hills. Could this be whats doing it?

Sounds like a DMF ready to come apart.

Could also been a tranny crossmember that is loose too.

Its been converted to a SMF. Maybe a bolt is lose on it? Ill check the crossmember. Thanks.

Could be. Let me know what you findout on the tranny xmember. Seems like it is a common issue with symptoms like this,

Ill have to wait till i have a buddy here, it'll be a few weeks more till im able to roll around under vehicles again lol.

If I hear of you not using wheel chocks again I will personally get you with a 5lb lol.

But do you guys think im right in being able to rule out all the driveline components and ujoints? Seeing as how it does it only when accelerating and the clutch is engaged? If so that takes a lot of the usual vibration causes out of the list.

Lol im expecting to wake up Christmas morning and find the bed of my truck filled with blocks, chocks, and blocks of wood hahaa

I was going to check the muffler bearings first. LOL, not sure what you mean.

That's what you get for buying your girlfriend that invertor you plug into your cig lighter. Now she plugs in her vibrator.

It's not a miss is it Rob? Mine feels like a vibration when I'm getting that stumbling miss at certain rpms. I feel it real good when I'm in a up hill pull.

Your wife isn't using her vibrator and over working the alternator is she? Oh, wait, she doesn't go to work with you, are you using it???

Well Glenn, the buzz tests and cct all pass with no codes, and the IPR DC% and ICP seem to be ok other than a fluctuation in the ICP when cruising at a steady speed on the highway.

My wife's has a weed eater motor on it! LOL!!
