Only took about 36 hours. Lol. Actually worked abt 6 hours the first day until I ran out of light. Not a bad job really. Just kinda tedious & time consuming. With this truck being a midwesterner I thought rusted bolts would be my biggest problem but to my surprise didn't have that issue. My biggest & most time consuming task was lining the axle back. Then as with most of my projects I had to fix something else. I let my axle drop on the passenger side but it didn't hit the ground. Guess what caught it? My brake hose decided to sacrifice itself the the cause. So about 5 hours went into waiting on the hose to come in before I could finish up.
Started about 1146 on Tuesday and finished abt 2300 last night. Haven't driven it any distance but around the neighborhood it seem to corner flatter & don't have the bone rattling jarring over rough pavement. Will get a better idea today. My concern is that my Ranchos may have premature wear with the springs bad this long. Gonna check those settings and go from there.
Measurements were 37 1/2 dr & 37 pass before. Now measuring 39 1/4 both sides. It does sit high up front now so modded B's are in the near future. I have the B's but need to source the bottom overload leaf. Been having trouble getting in touch with the guy but he has relisted them on craigslist. Has one complete leaf & one taken apart. Should be able to get the bottoms as he's had them about a year now.
Will update once I get some miles on them and see how they feel.
Why didn't your B came with the bottom overload leaf?
The guy I bought them from was into lifts. So I assume he may have used them elsewhere. I knew I could get the bottom leaf elsewhere so I didn't matter to me. I got the set for $200 with 800 miles on them so no biggie.
