I have a 1970 F-250 4x4. A few days ago I installed a brake booster out of a 72 4x4 and now the pedel height is about 2 inches lower than the manual brakes. Is the booster off of the 72 the wrong booster or is something else the problem. The bracket is removable from the booster. Any help would be appreciated.

the power brakes do have a lower pedal but did you swap the brake pedal too? the brake pedal is a little different which will account for some of the pedal drop. i made that mistake and drove that way for several years until i was adding a factory cruise control from a 79 and knew i needed the brake pedal (they are even more different!). when i had the pedals side by side i realized they were quite a bit different. hawkrod
