WhooHoo!!!!!!!
First thing that I did when I got home from work, at 7:30 Wednesday morning was to pull my tool box, winch, brush guard, and stainless steel exhaust tips off my 2000 SD. Next, I called the salesman and asked when I could pick it up. The salesman told me about 4:00 and to try and get some sleep
When I got to the dealer I was like an expecting father, pacing the floor, sweating, and anxious as all get out waiting to take final delivery. Finally the papers were signed and he said I will go drive it around to the front for ya. When he drove it around to the front three other salesman and a customer starting saying how it was a beautiful truck and they loved the color, not knowing that it was mine. Needless to say my chest swelled with pride and I gleefully said that it was mine. When I stepped up into it I felt the seat cradle me and took in the wonderful new truck scent. I noticed that the digital odometer read 10.3 miles and smiled. To date I have only put 256 miles on it. I only have been able to really drive it on Thursday because I have had to work Friday and Saturday night and I am working again all night tonight. I am on vacation this week though so I am sure that I will drive it quite a bit. My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Kansas City this weekend to visit her uncle. It will be a nice three hour drive for the new truck. So far I have only been able to install my tool box. The bumpers on the new 03 models are different so I will have to do something different for my brush guard and multi-mount winch. I am getting the windows tinted on Tuesday though and a spray in bed liner soon too. My apologies for the long post but the excitment still has not quite wore off yet.

NoMo: I am from the Rogers area, actually Pea Ridge. Lived here over 10 years now. Yes it is truly beautifull, but growing like a weed, something I don't really care for, but ya can't stop progress.
Do ya get up this way often? Do you just pass threw or do ya stay for awhile?
I know how you feel. I picked up mine a week ago (5-19-03) and I get a rush evertime I turn the key. I put just over 1000 miles on it so far and it is awesome. Enjoy the V-10, it rules! One thing to keep in mind. When you are stopped at a light. Don't turn the key. The engine is just THAT quiet and there is NO vibration. Trust me!

Usually try to make it over to Eureka for the Passion Play. Only stay a couple of days though. Still have family around Tahlequah, so I do at least get into the 'hill country' every now and then.
Glad you like your truck. Did you get the 'camper' pkg.? If not, you might want to think about an aftermarket rear anti-sway bar. It'll help with the curvy roads over there.

Now, Enjoy!
