Auto accidents

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Sep-02 AT 05:10 PM (EST)]A week ago I lost another friend. He was 18 and driving his girlfriend home when a Dodge truck hit him head on. The dodge got upset when a Jeep cut him off so he went around to pass him, clipped the jeep, and hit Matt's camaro. The dodge drove up onto the camaro and one of its tires came in contact with Matt's head.

Two days ago my friend Devin was also driving his girlfriend home. He ran off the road and overcorrected and hit a Chevy head on. It took an hour to get Devin out of his truck, and he was lifeflighted to a hospital in Houston, Tx. His girlfriend is ok, in a local hospital here in College Station, but Devin now has no teeth and many internal injuries. He is going to need major plastic surgery as well.

I don't intend to share these stories to make any of yall sad, I just want yall to always make sure to drive safely. I know most of yall do, but there are some out there that are just careless. Please, be careful!

And if any of yall are religious, could yall please pray for the families of these two young men? I know they need all the strength they can get right now.

Thanks and Gig'em

Although not exceptionally religious,I have prayed for them and may they find strengh and comfort in their faith in God.
I wish the young would realize how precious and fragile life can be.
May God bless them and their families.

Auto accidents

We all think that it won't happen to us because we drive responsible. But it can.

I was flying today and a bunch of planes converged on the same area I was trying to practice in. I had the option of leaving the area and waiting until it wasn't so busy. I did that.

Your friends didn't have that option. It happened very quickly and then their families had to pick up the pieces.

Of course they have our prayers. Godspeed.

I'm very sorry to hear about your friends and I'll remember them and their families in my prayers. I've had friends in accidents to but luckily nobody has been seriously injuured. It seems like when these accidents happen it opens up eveybodies eyes and they are more careful, just part of being in a small community I guess.

Thank you for the reminder to be safe on the road and hopefully other's will keep it in mind while they're on the road also. God Bless.

When is this gunna stop?? Saturday yet another friend I knew from high school died. Head on collision on Wellborn road, the same place as Matt's accident. This time it was a 21 year old female. Same style incident. Intoxicated driver of a Ford pickup decided to pass a car infront of him. Gets into the other lane to meet Hollie and her friends head on. Once again guys, drive safely....this is starting to get scary for me!
