Tilt Done

Finally got the tilt hood done,before anyone ask,someone else installed it. Came from CCP, and came out pretty good,also had a new used hood vent installed. Now to some questions, the installer said I needed a new Header Panel or Radiator upper support brace,it's the 3rd pic,the piece above the radiator. Does anyone have one these laying around or where to buy? Need a new hood too,I'm looking for both of these. Thanks in advance, L8R ZFLASH

Nice ! I can't wait to install mine . That's still down the road , my 56 is nowhere near. I've seen a few of those used supports for sale on eBay or try LMC for a new one.

Thanks, I've been looking on ebay since posting. I found one from a panel truck and another from a f100,don't know the years on these though. They say they will fit a '53-'56, do you know if these are inter changeable? Do you have a link for LMC? Thanks again, L8R ZFLASH

I recommend new , a lot of the used ones are really beat up. Plus if you're going with a new hood you might as well get all new stuff. Heres The link Truck Parts and Truck Accessories

It's kind of hard to see why you need a new hood and valance. Why did he install the forward tilt kit if these parts needed to be replaced

. Your hood looks to be in better shape than what I started with. What is the reason the rad valance needs to be changed. At any rate if you change out these parts you going to redo all the work of installing the tilt kit again. There is however many vendors that can supply the parts you're after, find the one closest to you to help with shipping costs.
