you can tell its leaking by the black soot, you may not hear it now but i would order up all new studs and put a little kit togeather so when you have time you can get around to it.
the other studs may never break, but ive seen stuff that rusty last 10 years or 10 minutes, it could go either way.

Can't feel any leak, sprayed them with soapy water while running didn't see any leaks, little black soot around all them not just the broken two. Already got my "want list made" and if she gives me a reason will order it up and park her until I have time or it warms up. Not my only vehicle so she can sit if she needs too, but I think I'm ok for the time being. If it when it goes she is getting new manifold, studs and new y-pipes as well, maybe headers - still undecided on that one.
probably lifts under heavy throttle thats why idle wont tell ya much.
anyhow i would go with headers if they are good quality with thick flanges, i put some on another truck i have and they were good quality but you still have to tighten them up every couple years even with 3/8" flanges..
kinda a pain, if i used loctite instead of antiseaze it might be different, but i aint fighten to get them apart again.

You been there done that with a manifold, the lifting under heavy throttle? There a sound or performance issue associated with it?
If it were me, I'd snap a picture from the same angle every week. When the soot stains start growing, your times up and it's time to make plans to fix it.
I really wouldnt bother with drilling it out and all that. A wire feed welder is your friend. Thats what i used on my 3 that broke off in the head, and they all spun out with a wrench easily after, worked perfect.

No sound or performance issues under thottle, just more pressure that wants out. I wouldn't fix it if it was mine but I don't fix anything unless it is truly broke.

actually they dont have to be flush, ive done sunk ones, about 1/8 iinch deep. just build up the weld then put the nut over and weld the weld to the nut thats built up off the bolt. works good, i think the heat is most the fix from the welder.

Well it ain't truly broke in my opinion, it's just thinking about breaking, so I ain't fixing it. Wow bad grammar. But santa can still bring me my want list...ha!
