Interchangeable drums

Hi everyone. I have a 1962 F350 4x4, with bad rear drums. What years will interchange with it? And where can i find the spring kits at. My local parts store can't help. Are the front and the rear the same? Probably not.
Thanks for any help.

Wayne

These drums are available at most parts stores. As are the shoes, wheel cylinders and spring/hardware kits. Keep looking and ask for 72 F100 parts.

Hey William I have no problem getting the shoes and cylinders and the hold down pins. I can't seem to get the spring combo kits. Will the springs for the 72 f100 work??
The drums are $100.00 plus and avalible.

Talking Interchangeable drums

Hi, I just purchased the exact kit you are looking for... (well, its for a 64 f-100) cost me a whole $15 for both sides. Here's the phone number 616-241-5611, they are located in Grand Rapids Michigan. Good luck.

Excellent! It is amazing how these parts will work on trucks from so many year groups. I get most of my stuff at NAPA but there is a small shop here in Powder Springs that will actually look up the correct parts and order them. 100 bucks for a rear drum is way too much. I try to talk to the old guys at the NAPA store. By the way I'm a YOOPER! for those Michigan boys, Brampton, Delta County. Small world aye!
