fuel injection?
A buddy of mine has a 99 F350 PSD with manual at around 130K. During the startup idle, the engine would vibrate as it doesn't have enough gas. But it runs fine during the acceleration/driving. He took it to dealer for diagnose and do fuel injection service. The dealer listed couple fuel injection parts needing replaced and the bill would run around $1700. Isn't that bit outraged? Am thinking maybe just replace the fuel injection nozzle to start with? Should this kind of work be left to professional or it's fairly simple enough for a weekend mechanic to do the job? Is this a common problem for any PSD engines with around 100K?

usually Ford Dealers are right if you need proof of it ask them to bring there IDS to your truck and it will tell you which injector isnt firing correctly that happened to me to my no 8 injector is bad, you can ask them to run the KOEO buzz test and the Cylinder contribution test
