And people think i'm funny for chalking tires on a level surface.
I'm the same way now. A few years back there was a guy in the SD section that had this same thing happen to him. I dont recall the details but I think he tried to hold the truck with his leg. It didnt work for him. He rode it down the driveway with his leg jammed in the undercarriage.
Serves as a good reminder to us all though.
Rob, get well soon. One of these days I'm gonna make it down to Sac to see that monster of yours.
Praying for a quick recovery for ya man. Get better soon so u can get back to wrenchin!!!
A little slogan we use at work: I've upped my safety standards, so up yours!!
Stay safe guys and don't forget the little things, because they can turn into big problems in no time.
Lol my senior class wanted our class motto to be "We've upped our standards, so up yours." Unfortunately staff wouldn't allow it.
Damn Rob, that was close. Glad you're still with us. Take it easy and heal up buddy. I'd say we've all done stuff like that before, I know I have, it just happened to bite you this time. Just goes to show us all how quick it can happen. Again, glad you're here to tell us about it!
Good to hear your not banged up to bad.
Speedy recovery Rob.
I think we all over look safety at times cause we're just not thinking are just in a rush. But then you have the ones that just don't care about safety.
I've had guys that have cut grass with me that wouldn't wear safety glasses because they didn't look kool
Dang Rob.I know its close to the holidays and some time off is nice but you took that a little too far.
Its good to hear that you are on the mend though....I think I will test my parking brake tonight.I replaced that one cable.wonder if the others are ok.safety is deff one thing we all must pay better attention to.never too over safe around these small trucks we all love.
Hope you get better soon Rob, sounds like a close call. My skinny a$$ probably could've hugged the ground and been fine! You should've lassoed the transfer case and rode it...Jean Claude style
hot dang brother.your lucky you have a little "substance" to ya (tipping the scales at 300 lbs) otherwise she probably would have just rolled right over a smaller guy rather than pushed along.your size might have (more likely than not) just saved your life there.
get well soon.
Darn Rob, glad you'll be OK!! I'm doing a overhaul now, thanks for the reminder to block tires & use floor jakes. Its way to easy to forget that stuff. One of my biggest faults is trusting a jake thinking 'I'll only be under for a few seconds'. Sorry this had to happen to you but thanks for the reminder to be safe!!
Thanks guys for all the get well wishes! Its also good to hear some of your "lucky to get away" stories lol. Good to know im not the only one who has made a mistake here or there. Im doing good, still going to be here for another few days. Sitting around doing nothing all day doesn't mix with a guy like me haha. I had an idea for my buddy to bring me his turbo to rebuild while im sitting here but the nurses didn't warm to the plan much, something about it being dirty....lol. Thanks agin fella's
It could be worse, at least you can heal from these injuries. Could be much worse bud. Glad to hear that you are semi ok!
If you need someone to take care of that sexy pickup for you while when you can't drive it, don't hesitate to send it my way! Hahahaha jk bud
If you ever make it out my way let me know, i think you and FI460 are the closest members to me.

An... acquaintance in high school (a friends friend) got crushed by his 71 chevelle due to a failing jack without having jack stands. There is very little warning when those things give out.
Glad to hear you're alright Rob. Looks like you're on the sideline for a while! Better see you posting up a lot more! LOL
That jack can lift 1.5 tons, but what you gotta think about is that all it takes is one little $0.59 o-ring to fail and your trucks coming down lol. I cant wait to get back home and get back to it. Ill be needing a hand with the driveline but im also in the middle of wiring up my new reverse and KC lights.

I just hate situations like this where the whole time your pissed and cussing yourself out cause you know you effed up and get so mad at yourself.
After laying in the road for a few minutes i got up and found my phone to call my pops. First thing i said was "I cant believe i didnt block the **** tires." Took a few minutes for me to relax and tell him that i had just been run over by my own truck haha!
