Cool Unlock Codes Ford Excursion

I have a 2002 Ford Excursion. 6.5 Pro Comp Lift 18x10 Wheels with BFG 35" tires. Flow master, K&N + mod chip. Rides sweet.

However my question is does anyone know how I can get the factory codes so that I can use the lock and unlock combo on the drivers door?

Anyone interseted in pics or details of the big black suv. email me.

Please help with the code locator.

Thanks

Scott

The truck comes from the factory with a little credit card in the owners manual with the base code in it.

If you do not have this card, the dealer can hook up his computer and read the code. Some dealers make a big deal over this and want to charge $$$$ (I think that I heard $45). Others have said that it takes like 30 seconds and the dealer will not charge if friendly.

My advice, bring a box of doughnuts when you go to the dealer.

Thanks for the advice. It's sounding like I will be making a trip down to the local dealer. Perhaps if I send the wife with a low cut top I might be able to get a better deal.

Hey jschira - Lived in Arlington for 5 years on Harris street of South Cooper... now out at Lakeridge...

Have you tried the Car wash at the south end of Cooper just before 287 ???
Premium car wash, but they'll let you do a $5.00 exterior wash - what a BARGAIN for an Excursion or super duty !!!

Wait a minute !!!!!!!!!!
Do you have the good looking All black Ex ????
I've seen you're truck !!!
Cause mine's just like it with the 6.0L....

I was told about the car wash on 287, but I wash everything myself. Make the wife help, get some return on that investment.

Let's see, $5/wash, that will take maybe 200 years . . .

Good looking truck !!!
Maybe I will get YOUR wife to wash mine if she does that good of a job! (oh yeah.... RIGHT?!?, Good luck with that)

Not you I've seen there, but when I saw '03 4x4 with 7.3L I thought most of the '03's were 6.0L's and that the 7.3L was a rarity in them !

See you around the best part of the metroplex!

John

Where do you fuel up??? the best I've found in my stomping grounds is $1.45 per on 287 @ Broad...

Cheapest is at the truck stops on I-20 in the Grand Prairie-Duncanville area.

A bit of a drive, but when you take 44 gals., a nickel can make it worth it. Fresher fuel too.

Unlock Codes Ford Excursion

Bought mine on a large dealer used lot. They took it to one of their smaller shops first to get the code. The salesman and I were informed that they had to hook it up to the computer and download it for the excursion. It would take at least 30-45 minutes to get the download. However, the small shop didn't have the right computer for the job, so we took it across the street to the main service center.
There, they took it in, explained that it had to be hooked to the computer for a download and it would be approx. one hour.
I waited slightly over an hour for them to get it in, work on it, and turn it around. I could see it in the shop, and they did hook up the computer to do the download and it ran best I could tell for over 40 minutes or so.

Based upon this experience, and the first shop telling me that the excursion was different because they could get the code from the explorer with a mirror and flashlight, I can't see how any other method would get this information for this particular model.

Mine is s 2002 model, and maybe some of the earlier years had a different method.

The Service Center did paperwork against the used car lot, I guess to charge the labor to someone.....didn't care as long as it wasn't me.
