Well guys, I ordered the parts and supplies to fix my leaky up-pipes. Went with the bellowed up-pipes from Clay. Also, will be messing with various other things at the same time. Not sure when it will all begin, but kids are getting out of school this next week and that frees up an additional vehicle for me to go to work. So may start tearing into it the weekend before Christmas if all goes well and maybe have it back together by the end of Christmas break for the kids. Don't want to rush anything.
I think some say Kroil is better, but soak it with something for sure. I did mine with all new Ford parts last year, before I knew better. Wish I had gone with the bellows. I recently replaced the driver's side manifold, and had to readjust the up pipe because it shifted. PITA.
You shouldnt have any issues breaking the bolts free. The rusty northern trucks are a different story. I PB blasted mine the day before, but didn't really need to.
You should gave all new hardware, so its nor a big deal if you snap a bolt.
I am actually a little giddy that I can start tearing into a section of the engine for which I have been hesitant. I was scared to death to mess with the turbo before reading all the posts on this site. Now I have a FTE bud in the local area that I can call on if all hell breaks loose.
Thanks to all of you, I am no longer afraid of the turbo and tearing into it. Just a matter of taking my time and doing it systematically.

I would say get an oring kit to go with it. I mean the good "mechanics tool chest" one. Nothing like having everything apart and finding a leak under there.

100% right on. I just got done with replacing injectors, turbo and up-pipes. AND so far, everything works! Heck, before long you'll probably be helping someone else do the up-pipes on their rig.
