I need help again :-( recently I was able to get the rear drum off the truck with your help, now I need help identifying the size of the drum so I can get some replacements.
The pads measure 2.5" wide, but the drums seem to measure 3" wide (I think this has to do where I'm starting and ending the measurement. I'm hoping these are the 12"x2.5" drums since the replacement parts appear to be a bit more affordable.
Hmm something looks wrong! The purple lower spring don't looks like it's in the right hole. Should be in the 2nd hole on the shoes per my manual. Unless they had it wrong/ wouldn't be the first time. Spring should not touch adjuster spoke star unless manual adjustment.
Ps make sure you lube the new seal lip and pack the bearings if you cleaned or replace them as it takes many many miles for the rear end lube to works it's way to the drum hub bearings. If not seal & bearing we be toast. Plus. If you forgot to lube them good you can do this jack up one wheel up about 4-5" or so for an hour and let the oil run out to the bearing on each side when finish re-level & check gear oil. ..orich
