I have a 2005 F-250 6.0. I just had the oil and filters changed as well as the fuel filters. I have had the truck for three weeks now with no problems. Tonight while starting the truck it would idle very slowly and rough. When you put it in gear the truck would stall. It would do this three or four times before it would idle "normally" and could be driven. When driving I noticed the throttle was not very responsive. After stepping on throttle it seemed there was a brief delay before the truck would go and it almost feels like when turbo kicks in/power surges. Any help/info? I have appointment in morning at local dealership.
There is no smoke black, white, grey or other when I do start it.
Do you have any gauges like scan gauges II or the like? They are instrumental I diagnosing problems with these trucks. Your issue could be caused by any number of things from HPO leak to FICM so you need something that gives hard data and can read codes

No scan gauge, just got truck and new to diesel and 6.0's. Guess I'll be getting one after tomorrow.

Sorry for typing broken English but I was responding from my "smart" phone
My local dealership hooked truck up computer and every test came out fine. They were not sure what was causing it. I bought some fuel additive with citine boost. Have not had any issues since???
