Radio supression/resistor

I'm getting some static thru my radio and saw where the electrical diagram shows a couple of "supression" resistors lh rh.
Anyone ever change these? How do I know if they are faulty? Any way to check?

They should read open on a ohmmeter. If you have a old meter with a needle, you may see the needle jump a little bit when the capacitor charges(that's all it is, a small capacitor) and then go to infinity.

Those capacitors or noise suppressors are mainly for radio noise. If you have a tape or cd player, and still have the noise, that means the noise is coming in on the power supply wires.

If you have a aftermarket setup with amplifiers, some of your signal wires may be too close to the power wires for the amps. Or you could have ground loops in your signal wires(if it's aftermarket with amps).

If there’s a static noise, it might be there because of interference from a source that is permanently placed near the radio. There’re different types of noise, not just one. Also, there’re no noise suppression resistors, for noise suppression there’s always a filter circuit made up of resistors, capacitors and inductors.
