i have a 2002 f250 7.3 turbo diesel, and i want to redo my entire truck. i want to start on the inside with headunit, door speakers, subs, ect.. but i have no clue what to get and where to start. im open to any ideas. please help!
hay chris10, welcome to fte. i feel the same way about my truck. i'd love to have it in better than new condition. and i say that because even though these are great trucks, there is alot of things we can do to up grade where ford came up a little short.
i'm in the process of redoing mine aswell but,i choose to start with getting the truck in perfect running condition first. there is alot of mods you can do to reach this goal. then move on to the drive train and suspension. then the inside. you dont want to get that nice new inside all dirty. search the site , alot of great stuff on here.
Sounds like you have cash falling out of your pocket . If you can do a search there are lots of examples of what people have in their trucks. Lots have DD units and the sky is the limit for the rest of the audio stuff. How does your truck run? I personally would turn my attention to the mechanical aspect if the truck first. You know, making sure all the fluids and filters have been changed and take care of any leaks. You need your truck to be reliable first and then move on to the bling. Just my opinion.
thanks tappit01! but what all have you done to yours? and what all do you plan on doing?
i'm just gettin started myself. i ordered an "Ae scan tool" so i can trouble shoot and monitor how the truck is running. also just bought , gauges, performance chip, an injectors. i already done air intake and exhaust.
take a look at the "READ FIRST" section of the home page. lots of good stuff their.
I would start with some of the simple maintenance items first. Fluid change and an oil analysis. Then look at o-ring change out. I just did my fuel bowl and the truck has 221k on it. Truck appears to be running smoother. Double check that you don't have up-pipe leaks and that the turbo isn't leaking oil. Those are the things I have next on my to do list for the truck.

i like BTS tunes isspro gauges.
it all depends on where you would like to go 400hp 500hp 1000hp, it all takes different mods to do.
custom paint, new seats, dvd radio head, dash covers, lift tires.

Everywhere I look for lift kits, it only had a lift for a 4wd truck and mines a 2wd. Is there a difference? Or does it even matter?
