Starting issues with 03 EXPY 5.4 EB
I had a few things change by my local dealer last week,plugs,t-stat,inlet manifold and coil. Since this work was done, the truck is messing around.
(1) The heater vents stop blowing, but warm air is present. I took it back, apparently they did not connect a hose.
(2) My wife was having difficulty starting the truck, when I went to look at it,I eventually got it started, but i noticed that the temperature gauge was not reading. I drove for an hour and still no response.
(3) I also notice the truck is idling at about 1100RPM.
Any opinion on this matter is welcome
Will take the truck back to the dealer in the morning.
Thanks

Have them check the vacuum elbow at the back of the intake manifold, they have a tendancy to go bad in the middle of the 90* degree bend. A loss of vacuum will cause a high idle and in some cases a HVAC problem due to an inability to operate the various doors and valves in the system.
The temp gage is likely a loose wire.
