That describes my problem to a tee. Macular degeneration here. Wet in the left and dry in the right.

I veiw this at 125% and go to 150% if necessary. I use IE8 on my desktop and IE9 on my laptop. On IE9 there is a maginification icon in the bottom right corner. IE7, 8 and 9 also have the PAGE drop down in the browser tool bar and you can use that to zoom to 400%. I'm sure Chrome or Firefox will do this as well.

Rich,

Don't change your posting style. If you did it wouldn't be a TUGLY post.

JUST BE YOURSELF. (If I was on the computer that last part would have been red)
It's kinda' sad that you feel that us old guys don't mean enough to you young guys to make any accommodation, no matter how slight.

Rich seemed to be willing, but you're attempting to talk him out of it.

I'm thinking you aren't going to come back with "Hey, I was just kidding", either. That would be like a two-year-old saying "I'm sorry".

And then to say, "I'd write it in red myself if I weren't on a Smart Phone" serves to just rub it in.

If we aren't worth making some concessions to, please disregard any advice we might give.

Thank you for your time to read this, and remember that the years slip by all too quickly.

Well said Pops. This forum would be just as crappy as the others without the 'old farts' here. And I suspect that at this rate it's demise is nearing. Too bad really.

Pop I was actually kidding with all of my remarks. I didn't realize people were wearing their feelings on their shirt sleeves. You along with all of the other "old farts " have offered a lot of valuable knowledge with me and I GENUINELY APPRECIATE IT. What I was actually saying was it doesn't bother me but (However) it does bother some so be accommodating. I want people to be free to "be themselves" but not at the expense of others leaving or not feeling welcome. I should have finished my thoughts and spelled it out but I thought I was being funny. For all of those that consider yourself "old farts " I AM SORRY IF I OFFENDED YOU.

I hope to be an "old fart" someday and share the things I have learned. I try to respond to people that are having problems with the things that I have learned on this website. I knew nothing about diesels before FTE.

I'm 42 but still have 20/20 vision luckily. I messed up my hearing but I've always been careful with my eyes. That said, the red just made it tough to read. The information you offer and the work put in thinking through things is greatly appreciated, but being able to comfortable read through it all the way is the icing on the cake.... but we always appreciate the cake!

I hope y'all old farts don't leave or diminish. I like the straight forward advice and great tec support. Plus y'all oldies got the $$$$$$ to test out new mods and got lots or retired time to tinker all day. Im hoping y'all stick around for a long time. Im currently working on being a stay at home spouse so i can take more time to tinker learn form all the advice the oldies have posted.

As far as font color....... Im game with any. I stick to my black to keep it easy and simple. I kinda liked Tugs red " different " always easy to catch is advice. But y'all vote on it and pry there is not a re count LOL.

Anyhoo Like previously posted the term " OLD FART" Not intended to offend anyone at all. I enjoy everyone and am so grateful for the knowledge advice and friendship EVERYONE on FTE provides.
