I don't know what it means or if its a big deal but my clock is running slow. It is surprising that with todays technology that this would be possible but it has lost about 3 minutes since the clocks were changed about a month ago.
Thats a strange problem, I don't think I have ever heard of this being a problem on any modern vehicle. Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in your future, that would drive me nuts!
Have the same problem with mine, loses about 1 minute a month. Not a big thing, just update the time to match the phone and GPS on dash. I agree that they could of made this automatic sync of time from GPS or Sirius radio signals.
Now that you mention this, my clocks have been slow as you describe on my last two trucks. I never thought to post about it. About a minute/month is right on.
Wouldn't it have something to do with voltage, resistors, slight voltage drops or something like that? I would think that the drain on the system during startup would be difficult to deal with on sensitive electronics.
I sync'ed my clock with Verizon time when the time changed Nov. 4 th and it has lagged 1 minute when I checked this evening.
That would be on par with the others a minute per month.
I'll try to leave it that way to see if it lags more by JAN but I haven't noticed the lag yet.
Now that I know, it will probably bug me and I'll fix it.
You must be driving way to fast in your new 6.7l. As speed increases in the formula (E = M x C squared) time slowes down...so if you reduce your speed that may fix your slow clock.

That's a better explanation than they'll get from Ford!

E = energy
M = mass
C = the speed of light
Current velocity has nothing to do with this formula. You're thinking of another concept altogether.
