PCM wows. Need advise
Bought a '97 Exp for end of Jan this year. Did a MagnaFlow catback and K&N. Unloaded, uphill it knocks and pings. Put the boat behind it and its worse, knocks from the line. Took it in to my local dealership to have scoped out. Its been under surgery for 3 days now. They say the MAF sensor is bad. They replaced it. Cant get the codes out of the PCM. They did decarbonize it. Still no lucky with the codes on the PCM. They pulled up another Exp and ran tests on it and said if lucky I'm running about 130 horses. Now possibly the NOX sensor is bad and worse of all maybe the PCM. They say the loom is good and communicating. The best part about it all is the wife took it to Vegas and got 22 MPG. Anybody heard of this. Dealership thinks its because someone tried to add a chip to it and burned it. $$$'s adding up. Luckily I know the parts guy and he is giving me his cost. Thanks in advance.
