STOP IT WITH THE '08 MIRROR mods!!! You guys are breaking my bank account!! I want these on my X so bad!!! I never liked the stock tow mirrors on the pre '08s due to the small mirror at the bottom. As stated above, the newer ones are out of this world as far as seeing better. I WILL have this done..one day..hopefully soon. Plus they look incredible on saz2686's X..and kornfanjoe's!!!!
I too, want the heat with the lights. I don't care about the power extend/retract. But I bet I would as soon as I get them. Seriously though, they are nice on my '10 F350 but I don't mind pulling/pushing them like I have to do on my '01 Chubby dually.

Great, thanks for the info - I didn't realise you could pull them out when needed So how do they stay in place? I don't mind pulling them out when I'm hooking up to the TT, as it will be far better than messing about with the clip on ones I use - and with the elec mirror glass adjustment it will save arguments with the Wife when I ask her to adjust the passenger side clip on

This is the exact seller who still has 8 in stock. They are DIRECT plug and play for our excursions bolt on in 5 minutes and are heated and power. No power extend or fold but who really needs that!

Power extend & fold is the bomb, with both sections heated. but it takes time with wiring, relays & switches!

Is getting heat to the bottom mirror a factory option or did you upgrade the mirror to accommodate that?

From what I've read...
The '08+ - which have the heat option -
have heat on both portions of glass vs. only on the
top glass on the '00-'07 SD tow mirrors.

I believe there are also variations which don't have the
signal and/or marker light and/or heat and/or power fold/extend options.

So make sure you verify the individual capabilities - glad the OP posted
the exact link - I just wish I had more family to get me presents!!

That's a neat job with the swiches! Do the mirrors come already with the motors to extend and fold?

Yes they do, i was able to use the existing fuses for both the motorized & heated wiring. I used 4 small double pole realys from radio shack that fit into the drivers door panel, just below the mirror/window switches.

The mirrors came from dealers that wanted to get rid of old inventory, they are all interconnected. Both mirrors & and all the wiring stuff for $1,200. I did have to ship a mirror back that someone opened!
