just curious

i have a 98 expy with the 4.6 and 4r70w. and i never cared for the power and get up go the truck has. or lack there of. and recently i had the chance to drive an 12 f 150 screw with the new 5.0l and 6 speed. and man i loved the power of that set up. so i was wondering just what it would take to put that combo in the old expy. then maybe (and that would be a big maybe) i just might start to some what start to like this thing. but i doubt it. i only have this thing because my wife likes it and wanted it.

With the money it would cost for you to do this you would have a good size down payment on that 2012 f150

Yeah, waaaaay too much would be involved for that and reliability would be another issue. I almost put a supercharger on my Expo way back in the day to get more power but ended up keeping her stock.

5.4 swap would be a little cheaper and simpler.
But if all your looking for is a little more power bolt ons would make that sleepy 4.6 pretty fun.
The heads in the 98 are weak. Non pi heads.
