I just ran the KOEO trouble codes on my F150. I got the codes 23 and 32 which are the throttle position sensor being out of normal range and the EGR EVP sensor circut voltage below closed limit. I read my manuals and it isn't clear to me what these mean or how to fix them. I haven't done a voltage test on the sensors yet so is the voltage problem caused by the sensor or are other factors included. Also should I start with the TPS since it works in conjuction with the EGR sensor or does it really matter.
Hi steve,
It's an 87 F150 2 wheel drive. I did read the manuals and am going to do the volt checks. The only problem I have is with the EGR sensor position to do it in place like the manual says is almost impossible to see the pins. Could I do the voltage/resistance test with the sensor off?
I haven't read thru the tests recently because mine has been running well, but I think I remember some of the tests being done off the engine. In any case, you can remove the 3 fasteners and rotate the EVP so you CAN see the pins, then reattach it facing the right way.
