Brake lights dont work...?

Ok all of a sudden my brake lights dont work. They blink left and right but the flashers dont work, they light up with the running lights but they dont get brighter when braking. What could this be? Sounds like a short to me....

Blinkers and running lights (1 filament works while headlights etc are on)

Flashers and braking doesnt work...

This is on my 74 btw

I'm kinda confused. Blinkers, flashers and brakes are all the same in the rear.

Right, but the circuits feeding this common filament are different. One can fail while the others remain in operation.

The brake lights and emergency flashers share the same fuse. Since these are the only things not working, check for power on BOTH sides of the fuse with a test light. Both sides should be hot at all times; I suspect you will only find one of them is hot. If that's the case, and there's no obvious signs of damaged wiring, replace the fuse. If it blows again, then we'll troubleshoot further. Fuses do get old and blow on their own.

FIXED IT! Bad fuse. wasnt broken but it looks like it fried in the metal casing part so it looks 100% fine from the clear part. Weird. But hey thanks guys
