Almost the new year... tried to fix the fuel sending unit on the car again tonight. The sending unit from the new pump won't mount to the old pump. The new pump's external wiring harness is a flat 4 pin vs. a square 4 pin connector. The pump does include a harness I can splice in. I hate re-wiring things, so not my first option.
Amazon has the sending unit for $110 or I found a wholesaler closeout option for the whole fuel pump with the square connector for $123 incl. shipping. It has a 30 day warranty. A "regular inventory" of the same thing would be over $200.
