I took my dad to the Ford dealer about 2 weeks ago, he bought a F250 SC 4x4 diesel (obviously since I'm here) anyway I bought him some of the PS additive in the white bottle, I told him to put 8oz. In when he filled up... He put 16oz. In instead... He had a problem trying to dump it in out of the bottle... We have now got some old liquid medicine containers that we are using so we don't overdose again. Anyway I was wanting to know if this is going to cause a problem for him giving the double dose?
You could dump the whole bottle in and it wouldn't hurt anything. Higher doses will improve lubricity, but you are only going to gain so much cetane boost regardless of the dose.

Thanks for the info! Just wasn't sure?? With both of us being new to the diesel world, we have some things to learn...
One more thing to watch out for is those annoying little cardboard discs that fit in the lid on some bottles. They can find their way into your fuel tank. And make sure you get all the loose aluminum off the top of the plastic bottles, too.

Thanks! The bottles I got so far all had the aluminum covers on them... We are going to transfer into smaller medicine bottles. They will be easier to carry in both of or trucks and easier to dump in fuel tank. I am kinda surprised that they don't make a one use bottle for smaller trucks. It sure would be easier....
Go to the dealer and get a case 6/case of the single shot doses of both additives and keep the bottles so you can use the bottles over again.
just a thought if you want to buy in larger quantity. mark the bottles before you dump them so you pour the correct amount. The ford juice is PM22 and PM22A.

Good to know.... I didn't even look or price that stuff at the dealer....
An extra dose of the White (anti-gel) bottle won't hurt, but I did learn an interesting thing straight from PS tech the other day. They run a fleet of 10 or 12 6.7 PSD's. They dose as follows:
Silver bottle : 3x bottle label dosage which would make it 1oz per gallon
White bottle : (used in winter months) Single dose as per label
Green label (Kleer Diesel water disperser) Single dose as per label
ALL their diesel products can be mixed together without harm.

Bingo dmags... In addition I wouldn't just use some plastic medicine bottle unless you are certain the plastic is compatible with the chemicals. You don't want melted plastic going into your tank.
