Ok heres my question. I have a 1988 351w in my ford bronco. It sat for a year with old gas. Well i have been driving the past month and put new gas. When i slam the throttle, it backfires out of the throttle very badly. Whats the possible problems? Im changing the plugs, wires, caps and rotor this weekend. Could it be a mis fire? No clue. HAHA
Second, there is a broken plastic orange vacuum line coming from the passenger side of the engine. I cant really read diagrams very well, so Im not sure what it gos to.
I have a 90 351 with efi and my orange vac hose runs from the throtle body to the canister purge solenoid then back behind the intake and around to the driverside and hooks to the TAB thermactor air bypass solenoid mounted on the fuel rail? hope that helps.
