I noticed on my truck dash that there is a button with a phone icon on it. Well, the truck is not equipped with the Sync system, so the button is nonfunctional. It seems to me that there must be a way to add it in, I just need the right components. Has anyone tried to do this, or is there just too much needed or too much trouble? I searched the forum, but didn't find any posts about it.
did you ever figure this out? Im wondering the same.
I never pursued it anymore, because I never got much input from the members. It could be that I need all of the components (like TheStuffz suggested) and I would not know where to begin. I guess it went to the back burner for now.
If you don't have the sync option, then you do have the transformer option. You push the button, the truck transforms into a phone and confuses everybody... "I thought i just saw an F-150, now it's a gigantic phone!"
The phone button may act like a mute button and silence the radio without turning down volume manually. Push it to silence radio when on phone then push it again and radio is back at original volume??? Try it............................

Interesting. I'll try that out to see if that works, but I could just as easy push the power button.
