302 performance build

I'm in need of some help or advice I should say on building a 302 this will be my first engine build and I have a list of parts I have thought about for the max power but I'm not sure about it all here's my list:
Used 302 with around 80k miles on it so its seasoned iron
E303 cam
Sbc, victor jr or twisted wedge aluminum heads
Port and polish the entire engine
1.7 roller rockers
Hi-energy push rods
Victor jr aluminum spiral intake
Sbc forged steel , Manley forged striker or s/c pistons or even Keith black 281 forged pistons
ARP studs and bolts
4340 eagle crankshaft
650 or 750 edelbrok carb
All braided steel lines
Performance pulley system
MSD or Mallory ignition not sure if I want to keep the style I have with the coil separate from the distributor or get the one with the coil on it or coil on plug system
Bosch 4+ platinum plugs
Reverse flow waterpump
100 amp alternator
Dual cold air intakes
All the coolers, oil,transmission,power steering,etc.
T3 or T5 turbo or a supercharger if I can find one cheaper
Reversed shorty headers
Single or two chamber flow master exhaust
And as for the rest of the truck I'm going to get a stronger steel 3.55 gear in a 9" axle
6" suspension lift with 44/15/15 tsl super swamped on American racing rims 5 on 5.5
Purple cranium spider differential guard
Traction bars
Not sure on the transmission yet I have a an e4od 4x4 tranny now
But like I said I'm interested in advice seeing as this will be my first build and thank you in advance

You want to build a motor that makes all it's power from 3500rpm and up and put it in a truck with 44" tires and 3.55 gears?

Sounds like a mean engine with the power output in the wrong place!

You will need stronger axles and a lot more gearing. Upwards of 5.xx

I calculate 6.33 gears just to get the equivalent of 4.10 gears with the stock 29" tires.. which would be a decent performance ratio, but I can't say I have ever seen a ratio that high for sale.

Biggest I have seen for the D60/10.25 combo was 5.13. That's still a good step over 3.55, and with forced induction and that kind of power, I think it would move along just fine. But IMHO that combo is a disaster waiting to happen without great support for the front and rear axles (ladder bars or something custom made) to help axle wrap

So I would need a bigger rear end gear and axle? And I was going to put a set of traction bars on the rear but I didn't know anything for the front axle I'm also undecided about whether I would need a turbo or supercharger I know the engine should have a very large amount of power but I'm worried about the block bc I've heard most 302 will crack from the stress of anything higher than 500hp and I don't want to do all that work for it to destroy itself and please tell me any and all advice you have

Wow. Didn't see that it was a 302. If I were you I'd go 351w or 460 for that amount of tire/lift combo

I can't hardly find any 460s but I have found a couple 351s but ppl are asking 400 for the block which is why I was going with a 302 bc I already have one in the truck with an e4od 4x4 tranny

What are you going to do with a completely computer controlled transmission if you go to carb? You'll need a stand alone trans controller which are between 1-1500 a piece. If I were you, I'd spend the money on a 351w and stroke it to 408-427 range, find a c6 or zf5 speed and go from there. That will be better suited for your truck. That 302 will struggle no matter what you throw at it

+1, you're throwing money away building something like this on a 302 platform it's pretty much just a mater of when(not if) it will grenade, the block begins to distort at as little as 400hp so blown head gaskets are a common problem in boosted applications. In comparison the 351 block will reliably take upwards of 700hp with a forged rotating assembly.

And you'll be replacing those 1/2 ton axles very soon if your motor really is that strong, IMO the best platform to build something like this on would be a 1-ton with solid front and rear axles.

You'll need a moly shaft for the oil pump for sure and forget about the Edelbrock for that kind of HP.

So really I would be better off getting a 1 ton f250 with a 351 to build instead and get a c6 tranny and a Dana 60 or something for a rear and what kind of front end and what would y'all recommend turbo wise I had also thought about building a Diesel engine for a jeep as a rock crawler or something any thoughts on that?

1 ton= f350 3/4 = f250. Even a 250 with a D60 front solid axle and a 10.25 sterling rear would be better than a 150. C6 will hold up with major upgrades and a ZF is good to about 450-500 horse in stock form and you can have OD

Oh ok and does the the C6 have OD and I've heard alot of good stuff about diesels and I know they last alot longer , alot of torque, but is it worth the amount the diesel costs
