Radio for a 1967 F100
#18
If you can find a 1967 radio working or not it can be reworked with all new insides to provide AM/FM. A guy on the early Thunderbird site does this and I am sure others can provide the same service. Not cheap but will look original. If interested I will look into old email for name and contact info - Bob

No kidding? Sheez... 67s sure as heck had some unique parts. Were the 67 radios used in any other Ford products like maybe Galaxies, T-birds, Mercs etc.??
It'd be illogical to think that Ford contracted a one-off model of radio given their usual strategy to reuse as many parts across the models offered for that year... sorta like Pinto tail light bezels that are also used on Mavericks.

It's illogical to think that 1967 F100/750 doors are 1967 only, but who ever said that FoMoCo was logical?
The 1967 F100/750 dash is 1967 only, so is the heater, instrument cluster back, firewall and the brake/clutch pedals, bracket under the dash they suspend from.

I know this is an older post
I’m new to the board, found tons of great tips. Thanks for the info. I’m still having a hard time myself, trying to find a radio for my 67. I’d love to even find an original am. Anybody have one laying around or know if somebody that would mind parting ways with one for the right price? Ha. Thanks again for all the great info

Sorry, should have been more specific. I'm looking for OEM. The radio for a 67 only fits in that year model 68-72 and 66 and prior doesn't either. I don't really want an after market besides the short shifter and mustang bucket seats I kinda want the rest to look stock and those shifter and seats are about as far outside of stock I want to go in the interior. Hopefully I don't come off as difficult haha, but I have my goals for this truck and I'd love to find the radio to help keep it looking as stock as possible. Thanks for the replies and hope to hear more from some fellow Ford buffs.
