New member intro
Good day NJ chapter. I recently purchased a 1979 F-250 Custom 4x4 and I'm still getting to know her. I am by no means a mechanic so I may be asking some dumb questions. This truck is going to be my post retirement project, but have already started some small repairs. The engine is a 300 ci inline 6 (stock). Pretty sure the transmission is a Borg Warner T19 and NP 205 transfer case. Front end is a Dana 44 and pretty sure rear is Dana 60 but not positive. Truck starts and runs strong, but does have some issues. I have been spending way too much time on the FTE website obsorbing as much information as possible, but that isn't a bad thing.

Welcome to the NJ chapter of FTE, we have occasional GTG's throughout the year and a monthly BS thread for just that, BS, most days somebody is around, but the best place to post questions for your specific model would be the 1973 - 1979 F-100 & Larger F-Series Trucks - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
