I have a 292 V-8 F250 1964 Pickup. I would like to see if anyone knows if the 2 barrel intake manifold can be exchanged to a 4 barrel intake manifold. If someone knows the answer please let me know what engine size and year could be interchanged. If this is not a possibility let me know if an adapter plate for a 4 barrel carberator could be safely used. Dan Hazen
Ah, yes it can. Just be careful about the bolt pattern as I believe there were two different ones used (one prior to '58 or so and the other after then).
With the 4100 carb in place of the 2100 that you have, I believe you can use stock air cleaner.
I just got done rebuilding my 292 and I took off my 4bbl intake and old heads, and put heads and a 2bbl intake off of a early 70's 312. Everything fit perfect.
Hope this helps you.
An intake from a 272/292/312 y-block engine should bolt on. My suggestion would be to check your local swap meets and e-bay. There is a triple duce aluminum intake on there now... It needs some repairs, but tripower would be cool...
