Subwoofer
I've been reading through the forum. I've found a few topics related to the sound system but most end up talking about aftermarket stuff. So here is my question. I have a 2011 250 Super Cab. Sync, steering wheel controls, satellite, but no nav and no factory subwoofer. Does anyone know if the XLT comes prewired for the factory sub? I'm not one for upgrading my stereo system anymore. I just want a bit more bass. Thanks for your help. My local dealer had no idea, and wanted to charge me 65 an hour to search for the answer.

I doubt it's prewired. The sub sits behind rear passenger seat and there would be a plug there for it if it was.
Honestly, you're not missing out on much with the factory sub... I had it, it's now in a box in my basement. You could put a small 6.5"-8" sub behind the rear seat with a small amp and run the door speakers off the head unit. That would give you some more sound. If that's too much, you could look to replacing your door speakers with some better ones that could give you a little more bass.
Wiring diagram below if it helps at all.

I haven't pulled the rear seat out yet to check. I know the sub isn't the best quality. But I like the factory look. I saw the pictures of your truck pulled apart to do the install, and I just don't want to go to that length. I refuse to pay for it too. But if I was going to do it, phoenix power gold 2000w JL audio 12w7, Kenwood 4 ways in the doors with components. I've done it all before. So if my truck is prewired, mind if I buy yours? Haha.

If Ford does any updates on the 6.2, I'll keep you in mind.
You don't need to go through what I went through to get good sound. Even replacing the door speakers would be an improvement. Also, you don't need to pull the rear seat out to see if it's wired, just pull the seat back forward where the jack is, the plug would be back there. Like I said though, I doubt it's wired.

Ahh, gotcha, missed that part of your original post.
The door panels are fairly easy to pop off. Pop the plastic up where the window/door lock controls are, unplug those. I can pry it up with my fingers, then just lift it straight up. Remove the 2 small access panels in the middle/center and middle/bottom of the door, remove screws (4 total). Lift up!
I can't remember how the panels come off on the super cabs, been too long since I had mine off in my 2000. Can't be much different than the doors I'd expect.
