12 volt bracket alternator.

I have decided to convert my 1949 F6 truck to a 12 volt system and would like to know if someone has photos of how to adapt the bracket to the new alternator, If someone knows which alternator will best fit, please let me know.

I have new photos of the sheet metal restoration process. (Please let me know if i have posted correctly the link for the photos, but dont get too distracted and forget to address the bracket issue).

Mac's (and may others) have alternators that bolt right on where the generator shoud go:

Is it possible to identify what size pulley does the engine have whith these images?

You have the fat belt (5/8"). Do an advanced Search on here about alignment problems with trucks with fat belts. That slingshot style mount at MACs looks suspiciously just like the one they sell for cars.

Now that I look at the MACs bracket, it does look like may have a different offset built in, but check that thread ccarefully before ordering!
