Good observation...that said, the best mods are those that can't be readily identified. Nothing better than to watch someone (especially one who fancies themselves as an automotive expert) stand in front of your truck scratching their head because they know that it's "different" yet they can't put their finger on just what it is.

So now that everyone understands what I am doing does anyone have some pieces left over from a chopped F100 53--55 the vertical part of door at the rear Ill pay for them and the shipping

If it were me I would just use sheetmetal to fabricate those small sections. I had a couple of parts doors laying around a few months ago but sold them recently. I'll ask around.

wouldn't it be easier to graft the pieces from a 56 door onto your 55 to level it out..

good idea BUT i don`t have any 56 doors. a fellow on here has the 55 pieces i am looking for and I think I will go that way I am about to cut and level the top
