column shift linkage
I have a 74 F-250 with a C6 tranny. The problem I have is the column shifter has alot of slop in it. You can move it about a half inch in both directions when in a gear. I haven't tore it apart yet but am guessing that it is just wore out.
I have looked for a new column shifter but haven't found one. What are my options? Find one at a junk yard in better shape or could I try to fix this one somehow? Thanks for the help.
