I was fortunate to avoid a pounding on that other site! I did get useful information in that Cornhuskers rod shop has an adapter kit that is similar to the Speedway Motors kit, but is for the Ford bolt pattern....it even comes with the throw-out bearing shaft. This kit is a bit pricey, but does solve my problem in kit form.

I've been there for probably 12 years. It is nothing like it used to be, much softer and gentler now. The biggest problem is people not following the rules. It is a traditional hot rod site. Stay within the rules and you will find a lot of good info and very talented people there that share info readily. Some people go in with attitude, well, guess what? Attitude is responded with like. Turns into a group pounding on the person. I agree the intro stuff is sometimes out of hand.

I don't understand why not following the rules makes the HAMB the wrong one?

 

the rules aren't really followed here to the letter and it's a good thing as we get exposed to a wide variety of things , but yet you don't see anyone going after another member unless it is in joking usually . we all express our opinions , go way off subjects , everything is pretty much tolerated from resto's to outright full on six plus figure billet machines , and despite the guff we give we all learn from , and appreciate it . a question gets asked here no matter what it get's answered . we all can get short for whatever reason but we all understand you can't have a postcard perfect day all the time . over there i have seen and been into and the brunt of people's bull as well as getting threatening pm's from some of the dicks . i don't have too much tolerance of the kind of crap those guy's can give . as said many knowledgeable peeps who are more than willing to share and are great , but the few ruin it . the mod whats his name , ryan is / can be one of the worst perpetrators ! i've had post's and replies dissappear , been censored and finally outright banned when i got angry at the ****'s there and let loose on the childish bull sh!% . if being traditional means being a dick i'll never go back period , despite the good ones i met and liked to listen too and learn from . here it's friends throwing a few jokes / jibes , there it's internet rambo's . the one who threatened me lives right here and i've seen him and his stuck up holier than though attitude and his 'sposed traditional FIBERGLASS AND BILLET 34 ford coupe , and he knows my 53 as it was my avatar . chicken sh!% he is ,as are many of the few idiots there that ruin a site that could be great ! just my opinion and we all know about opinions and arseholes ...... oh yeah my rides despite being flatty powered , and many others having the same things , was not in there opinions , traditional or accepted material per the head jerk and a couple of his minions .... and speaking of being ornery ... hey tom i had mel o cream this am with a nice hot cup 'o' joe !!!!!!!
